Eight ways to fix bad breath before Cupid arrives
Bad breath can be embarrassing on any day, and it is one of the fastest way to ruin Valentine’s Day plans. Fortunately, there are several ways to control or eliminate the condition.
  1. Avoid pungent foods, such as those containing garlic or onion.
  2. Eat plenty of green vegetables, which help create an alkaline environment that is unfriendly to odor-causing bacteria.
  3. Strive for a low-carb diet, but incorporate an adequate amount of healthy fats, which help break down ketones (another source of odors) in the stomach.
  4. Drink plenty of water, which helps keep your mouth cleaner and your body healthier.
  5. Brush and floss, and clean your tongue daily.
  6. Chew sugar-free gum to help increase saliva flow.
  7. Don’t smoke, or use other tobacco products.
  8. If bad breath is persistent, see your dentist for an examination. This can be a sign of gum disease.
Testimonials
"I have been a patient of Dr. Adams for many years and I have nothing but praise for him. He is professional, kind and up-to-date on all aspects of dental practice. He has bleached my teeth in the past (great job) and when I needed an emergency crown put in before a vacation trip to Africa, he made sure I got in and was ready to go with no problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Adams."
