• People who took selfie-videos while brushing and flossing tended to improve their hygiene
• Researchers believe the act of filming makes people more conscious of their brushing habits, and the opportunity to review their techniques could be beneficial
• This groundbreaking research could lead to future applications, including the use of selfie-videos to help dentists identify problems and provide more customized hygiene education for patients
